Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Justice the annual cost of the salaries of any recently appointed ministerial Garda drivers to her Department; the cost of the annual salary of the existing civilian Garda drivers in her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerI can advise the Deputy that there are two civilian drivers in my Department. The payroll costs of those drivers in 2020 and 2021 are set out in the table below.
