Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the number of engagements, including online meetings, webinars, briefings and in-person meetings she or officials from her Department have had with the National Women’s Council of Ireland from 1 January 2019 to date; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerNeither I nor officials from my Department have had any engagements, including online meetings, webinars, briefings and in-person meetings, with the National Women’s Council of Ireland during the period specified by the Deputy.
The Deputy may wish to note that my Department is represented on the Inter-Departmental Strategy Committee for the National Strategy on Women and Girls chaired by the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth, the membership of which includes includes representatives of the National Women's Council of Ireland.
