461. Deputy Michael McNamara asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine when his Department will give permission to Horse Sport Ireland to commence passport printing (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [10542/22]
View answerI have been informed by Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) that an identification document was issued to the individual in question on 21st January 2022. No permission is required from the Department to commence passport printing. Passport Issuing Organisations must, of course, comply with National and EU legislation in this regard.
