192. Deputy Michael Ring asked the Minister for Transport the number of staff who are currently absent from work on full pay due to suspension or workplace disputes in his Department and in agencies and public bodies within his area of responsibility; the number who have been absent from work for up to three, three to six, six to twelve and over twelve months, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I wish to inform the Deputy that one member of my Department's staff is presently on suspension from work on full pay for a period in excess of 12 months.

I have asked the aegis bodies to provide the relevant information for their respective organisations, but if you do not hear from them within 10 days you should contact my office.
