935. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if he will report on the reason for tree felling of mature trees in Barnaslingan Wood; the percentage of trees that are being removed; when a clean-up of the debris is intended which is currently seriously detracting from a well-used beauty spot and way marked walks; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Coillte is a private limited company established under the Forestry Act 1988 and is operationally independent from my Department. I have referred the matter to Coillte for direct follow-up with the Deputy.
