306. Deputy Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Social Protection the reason a person (details suppled) is awaiting payments of illnesses payments relating to a period of weeks when they were out of work as a carer from 3 January 2022. [21915/22]
View answerThere was some delay in processing the Enhanced Illness Benefit claim from the person concerned as it overlapped with her Carer's Allowance payment. The monetary difference between this payment and her Enhanced Illness Benefit entitlement needed to be calculated before any payments due to her could issue.
Her Enhanced Illness Benefit claim has now been awarded and payment has issued to her.
I hope this clarifies the position for the Deputy.
