Deputy Brendan Griffin asked the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform the up-to-date position regarding the erection of a State monument in honour of a person (details supplied); if he will provide details of the most recent correspondence within Government in relation to this project; if there is a delay with the project; if so, the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Public Expenditure and Reform

The Office of Public Works undertakes such projects on behalf of the Department of the Taoiseach and the proposal was forwarded by the Office of Public Works to this Department for its attention. There has been no update on the matter at this present time.
