Deputy Michael McNamara asked the Minister for Health if he will review the extension of Kaftrio drug therapy to 35 children aged between six and 11 years in Ireland with cystic fibrosis who are currently being denied access to a life-changing drug, in particular, in the case of a child (details supplied) in County Clare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Under the Health (Pricing and Supply of Medical Goods) Act 2013, the HSE has statutory responsibility for the administration of the community drug schemes; therefore, the matter has been referred to the HSE for attention and direct reply to the Deputy.
