Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Transport the status of Ballisodare train station; if he has any plans to reopen the station; if his attention has been drawn to the fact that the station is in extensive disrepair and is causing concern that someone will be injured as a result; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding of public transport. The operation, maintenance and renewal of the rail network and stations on the network including the former station at Ballisodare, County Sligo, is a matter for Iarnród Éireann in the first instance.
