Deputy Paul Murphy asked the Minister for Health the reason that low-density lipoprotein needs to be consistently above 4 mmol/l; and the research that this is based on given that the European Society of Cardiology advise a target of 1.4 mmol/l in cases of high-risk coronary artery disease.
