Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Education the number of psychologists currently employed by the National Educational Psychological Service; the number of sanctioned psychologist posts in NEPS; the full-year cost of running NEPS; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can inform the Deputy that the number of educational psychologists currently employed in NEPS stands at 225 whole-time equivalents across the NEPS regions. NEPS operates within a sanctioned pay budget, the pay budget sanctioned in 2022 was in the region of €21m.
