Rásaíocht Con Éireann (RCÉ) is a commercial state body, established under the Greyhound Industry Act, 1958 chiefly to control greyhound racing and to improve and develop the greyhound industry. RCÉ is a body corporate and a separate legal entity to the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

In August 2020, New Economy and Recovery Authority (NewERA) was requested by this Department to consider some areas of the greyhound industry. The arising report is commercially sensitive and confidential and is provided for the information and assistance of the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

However, RCÉ is developing a new strategic Plan based in part on some of its recommendations.
