Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Transport the reason that Irish persons born in Belfast, County Antrim or anywhere in the six counties have born in the United Kingdom printed on their driving licence; his views on whether persons born in the six counties are not Irish given that it would be stated on a licence for a person born in any of the other 26 counties; if this practice will be changed to say born in Ireland on all licences for persons born on the island of Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
