Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he will provide a breakdown of the number of children referred to Tusla to date in 2022 by referral type; and the entities from which the referral was made, including teachers, gardaí, the managers of direct provision centres, and other categories. I wish to advise the Deputy that statutory and operational responsibility for the delivery of child protection and welfare services is a matter for Tusla, the Child and Family Agency.

I can confirm that the matter has been referred to Tusla, for direct reply to the Deputy.
