Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Taoiseach if the investigation into the leaking of the final report of the Mother and Baby Homes Commission of Investigation has been concluded; if so, the findings of the investigation; and, if not, the estimated timeframe for the conclusion of that investigation. The investigation to which the Deputy refers is being conducted by a senior official in my Department and it has not yet been concluded. I have not involved myself in the detail of the process and it is not possible at this point to indicate when the process will be completed.

The Labour Force Survey (LFS) is a household survey which provides quarterly statistics on employment and unemployment and is the official source of labour market estimates in the State. The classification of employment status in LFS results is determined according to ILO (International Labour Organisation) concepts and definitions.

The most recent LFS figures available are for Quarter 2 (Q2) 2022.

The quarterly LFS labour market estimates are produced by NUTS3 Region (NUTS3 is a geocode standard referencing the eight subdivisions of Ireland for statistical purposes). Due to the methodology and sample size of the survey it is not possible to produce reliable county estimates from the LFS.

The NUTS-2 region is a grouping of the NUTS-3 regions.

The table below shows the number of unemployed (ILO) persons aged 15 - 74 years classified by NUTS2 and NUTS3 regions and in the State for Q2 2022.
