Deputy Mairéad Farrell asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the names of all special advisers working in his Department; the Minister and Junior Minister who each advisor is associated with and their respective salaries, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Ministerial advisers are appointed by the Government in accordance with the provisions of the Public Service Management Act 1997.

There are currently five Special Advisers serving at my Department, as detailed in the table below. Statutory Instruments 731of 2020, 479 of 2021 and 199 of 2022 refer to these appointments.
