Deputy Matt Carthy asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of applications for green certificate places in agricultural colleges in the academic years beginning in each of the years 2019 to 2022; the number of available places; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Delivery of the Green Cert in the agricultural colleges is an operational matter for Teagasc, who have responsibility for the provision of research, training and advisory services to the agriculture and food industry.

Accordingly, the questions raised by the Deputy have been referred to Teagasc for direct reply.
