Agencies funded under Section 39 of the Health Act 2004 are not public sector employers. Terms and conditions of employment for Section 39 employees, such as annual leave allocations, are not within my remit to determine. They are a matter between the employer and employee. I have no role in this regard.

Primary Care Centres are an essential part of our Government’s significant investment in the delivery of high quality, integrated care to people in their own communities.

The Minister assumed office on 27 June 2020 upon formation of the current Government. There were 132 Primary Care Centres operational nationally at the end of Q2 2020 (30 June 2020). There are currently 160 Primary Care Centres operational nationwide. In total, 28 Primary Care Centres have become operational since end-June 2020. There are a further 19 currently in construction.

The Tribunal has indicated to my Department that it received twenty-six claims, two of which were consolidated. In terms of persons, that is twenty-five claims in respect of eligible women as set out in the relevant sections of the 2019 Act.
