Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Social Protection if she or any officials from her Department or from bodies under the aegis of her Department travelled to the Sharm el-Sheikh Climate Change Conference; the number who travelled; the costs incurred; and if she will make a statement on the matter. I can confirm that neither I, nor officials from either my Department or the statutory bodies under its aegis, attended the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 27) in Sharm el-Sheik, Egypt.
