Deputy Brendan Smith asked the Minister for Transport if his attention has been drawn to the widespread concerns in relation to the delivery of a public service (details supplied); the measures that will be implemented to improve this service considerably at an early date; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister of State at the Department of Transport

The Road Safety Authority (RSA) has statutory responsibility for all aspects of the driving test. This includes driving test applications and all scheduling matters.

The question is being referred to the RSA for direct reply. I would ask the Deputy to contact my office if a response has not been received within ten days.
