Deputy Jackie Cahill asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine if his Department has received any correspondence from the Chinese government or representatives of that state in relation to the Communications Regulation Bill 2022; the way that this Bill may impact agri-food trade between Ireland and China; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department has not received any correspondence on this issue.

I do not anticipate that this Bill will have any impact on Ireland’s agri-food trade with China, as it is an entirely unrelated issue.
