Deputy Alan Dillon asked the Minister for Health if the Saolta group accepts the serious consequences to a hospital (details supplied) if the withdrawal of college trainees occurs on 1 July 2023 due to a failure in compliance to the national clinical programme for anaesthesia towards training accreditation from the College of Anaesthesiology of Ireland, and the knock-on effect concerning adequate on-call cover for acute emergency services, especially maternity services; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
