Deputy John Paul Phelan asked the Minister for Education the reason the stage 3 planning process for a school (details supplied) has not been completed; the current timeframe for completion of stage 3 planning and the commencement of construction of the new building; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe project to which the Deputy refers has been devolved to the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) for delivery as part of a programme of school building projects.
This school is part of ‘Project Nore’, and as the Deputy will be aware, the tender process for appointing a contractor for ‘Project Nore’ is currently underway. Following the completion of this tender process and a Departmental review of the Tender Assessment Report, approval for stage 4 construction will follow.
