Deputy Jennifer Murnane O'Connor asked the Minister for Justice the value of fines issued to airlines or ferry companies for failure to carry out adequate checks on travel documents of persons prior to them arriving into Ireland in 2022; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy may be aware, information in relation to fines levied on airlines for failure to carry out adequate checks on travel documents is maintained by An Garda Síochána.

I have sought the information requested from the An Garda Síochána and I will write to the Deputy directly once the information is to hand.
