Deputy Joe Carey asked the Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth if he intends to renew the contract with a hotel (details supplied) which currently provides accommodation for Ukrainian refugees when it expires this summer; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAwarding contracts to new and existing suppliers of accommodation are commercial decisions made in the context of projections in terms of likely refugee arrivals and the management of our accommodation needs as a whole. Demand for accommodation for those fleeing the war in Ukraine is strong at present and we are offering new contracts to many existing suppliers. It is not possible however to comment on what the situation may be in relation to an individual contract which is due to expire in the summer.
