Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media the amount spent by her Department on online advertising in each of the past ten years and to date in 2023, in tabular form; if she will provide details in relation to this spending; and if she will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware, my Department in its current configuration was formed in June 2020, following the formation of the Government. I have been advised by my Department that the total spend on online advertising, specifically, for the time period 2020 to date is €59,974.31, including VAT.

Details are set out in tabular format below. At all times value for money is a critical consideration when engaging in paid advertising.
