The overall capital funding allocation for Local Enterprise Office (LEO) programmes in 2023 is €35.8m. The allocation to individual LEO programmes is yet to be finalised and is subject to approval of the Enterprise Ireland board.
The Lean for Micro programme supports clients to adopt lean business principles in their organisation to increase performance and competitiveness. Lean is available to companies, regardless of sector, and aims to address productivity issues within businesses by building the capability of their people to identify problems, improve operations and create a more innovative organisation.
Lean for Micro, alongside Green for Micro, GreenStart, Digital Start and the Trading Online Vouchers, is part of a suite of productivity supports available from the LEOs to assist business owners and managers to identify cost savings and increase efficiencies. In 2021, the latest year for which full data is available, there were 469 approvals under the scheme.
