The Energy Academy is an online resource that gives businesses free access to high quality energy training and provides energy training for over 5,500 users. Further development of this resource is ongoing, with new training modules added on an ongoing basis.

The Support Scheme for Energy Audits launched in July 2021. The scheme provides support for SMEs to carry out energy audits and therefore encourage them to implement the energy saving measures identified. It is open to all public and private sector organisations that have an annual energy expenditure of €10,000 or more and are not already required to carry out an energy audit under the Energy Efficiency Directive.

The Large Industry Energy Network (LIEN) membership consists of companies with an annual energy spend of €1 million or more. The SEAI works with these companies to improve their energy performance. Special working groups within the Network have developed best practice guides on how to manage energy performance. The LIEN has continuously expanded, having started with 41 organisations in 1998, expanding to over 200 active large energy organisations at present.

The Excellence in Energy Efficiency Design (EXEED) enables organisations to establish a systematic approach to the design, construction, and commissioning processes for new investments and upgrades to existing assets. The EXEED Certified program aims to influence and deliver new best practices in energy efficient design management. EXEED designs, verifies, and manages optimum energy performance and management at the earliest stages of the lifecycle.
