305. Deputy Richard Boyd Barrett asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the total number of businesses established by Coillte since 1989 which are no longer operational, for example, Coillte landscaping, Griffner/Coillte timber houses, Coillte Hardwoods, Coillte Christmas Trees; the accumulated debts associated with those failed enterprises; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Coillte is a private limited company established under the Forestry Act 1988 and is operationally independent from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. I have referred the matter to Coillte for direct follow-up with the Deputy.
