Deputy Mick Barry asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Defence if representatives of the Defence Forces or his Department participated in the recent IDEX 2023 arms fair in Abu Dhabi, UAE; if so, the meetings any delegation participated in; if any contracts were made; and if he will make a statement on the matter. There was no attendance from the Department of Defence at this event. I am also informed by the Military authorities that no Defence Force representative attended this event.
