Deputy Imelda Munster asked the Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform if he will provide an update and provide any additional information on the transfer of ownership of the historic Westgate House, Drogheda, County Louth; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Westgate House, Narrow West Street, Drogheda, County Louth is in the ownership of the Commissioners of Public Works in Ireland.

Officials from the Office of Public Works have reached agreement to transfer the property to Louth County Council in line with the State’s property disposal policy. Contracts for the transfer are currently with solicitors for Louth County Council and the matter will be finalised as soon as possible.
