438. Deputy Thomas Pringle asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage further to Parliamentary Question No. 306 of 7 March 2023, in which it was stated that the registration date of 2013 helped to ensure that an estimated 95% of systems were registered before that date; if he will provide further information on the septic tank grant; if he will provide the details of the way this estimation was arrived; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The estimated figure achieved of 95% of septic tanks registered is based on a comparison against the total number of septic tanks as provided by the CSO 2016 Census figures. A more up to date figure will be prepared when the 2022 Census data is available.
