Deputy Róisín Shortall asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science the number of education and training institutes providing QQI level 5 healthcare assistant; and the cost of these courses respectively in each of the years since 2020, by provider, in tabular form. The below table sets out the number of providers offering awards at Level 5 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) in Healthcare Support and in Health Service Skills alongside the number of learners who obtained these award in the years 2020, 2021 and 2022.
