239. Deputy Joan Collins asked the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage his views on the regeneration of an estate (details supplied); if he is aware of a move by Dublin City Council to cease its contract with a company; and the reason the contract has been terminated. [20810/23]
View answerThe regeneration of the estate referenced includes the development of 578 homes, comprising 117 social housing and 461 cost rental homes, respectively. My Department understands that Dublin City Council lodged a planning application for this important mixed-tenure project with An Bord Pleanála in October 2022 and that a decision in this regard is expected imminently. The next step for Dublin City Council will be to advance a procurement process for the construction of these much needed homes.
Procurement and contractual issues are a matter for Dublin City Council as the contracting authority.
