214. Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Finance the estimated full-year yield that would be generated by establishing two new income tax bands of 47% on earnings between €135,000 and €200,000, and 55% on earnings over €200,001. [21282/23]
View answerI am advised by Revenue that the estimated first and full year yield to the Exchequer from the introduction of two new income tax bands of 47% on earnings between €135,000 and €200,000 and 55% on earnings greater than €200,000 is €1.16 billion and €1.51 billion respectively.
