I propose to take Questions Nos. 261 to 267, inclusive, together.

I am advised that the information sought by the Deputy are operational matters for the Arts Council and National Cultural Institutions in question and is not something for which I have direct, day-to-day responsibility.  The National Cultural Institutions engage closely with the Office of Public Works regarding their property requirements and most of these Institutions are based in State-owned properties.

I have no statutory function in relation to the appointment of Local Authority Arts Officers or indeed to the terms and conditions of such appointments. Local Authorities come under the remit of my colleague the Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage. I am advised that many Local Authorities have employed Arts Officers and that these local authority officials work closely with my Department as members of Local Authority Culture and Creativity teams which work with the Creative Ireland Programme.
