Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media how she proposes to ensure effective enforcement of the rights afforded to film directors in the Irish film industry under SI 567/2021, which enacted the EU Copyright Directive; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Enforcement of Intellectual Property rights is the responsibility of my Cabinet colleague the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and his Department is responsible for the transposition of the EU Copyright Directive.
