Deputy Maurice Quinlivan asked the Minister for Health his views on the case of a person (details supplied) who is scheduled to have cataract surgery through the NI Planned Healthcare Scheme, with a cost of £2,200 per eye and will be reimbursed £1,626.33 (€1,870) by this State, outlining the reason for the shortfall in re-imbursement to the patient; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
