96. Deputy Willie O'Dea asked the Minister for Social Protection the date in June that she expects the lump sum child benefit payment of €100 per child to be paid; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24446/23]
View answerChild Benefit is a monthly payment to the parents or guardians of children under 16 years of age. Child Benefit can also be claimed for children aged 16 and 17, if they are in full-time education or full-time training or have a disability and cannot support themselves.The additional lump sum payment of €100 per child will be paid in June subject to the necessary legislation being passed by both the Dail and Seanad.
