119. Deputy Ivana Bacik asked the Minister for Justice the number of breaches of orders made under the Domestic Violence Act 2018 which were prosecuted in the District Court in each of the years 2016 to 2022 and to date in 2023, inclusive, in tabular form; and if he will make a statement on the matter. As the Deputy will be aware. management of the courts, operational matters and logistical functions are the responsibility of the judiciary and Courts Service, which are independent in exercising their functions under the Courts Service Act 1998 and given the separation of powers in the Constitution.
