Deputy Éamon Ó Cuív asked the Minister for Education the financial allocation to a school (details supplied) for a new modular mainstream class and a new SEN base 1 unit; the next stage in the process; when approval will be given to go to construction; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerThe school to which the Deputy refers has been granted approval for 1 x SEN Base , 1 x Assisted User WC and 1 x mainstream classroom under the Additional School Accommodation Scheme. The project is devolved to the School Authority for delivery.
In order to progress this project, the Department awaits the relevant documentation from the school authority, the details of which are outlined in the initial approval letter. On receipt of same this project will be given further consideration.
