Deputy Aindrias Moynihan asked the Minister for Social Protection the number of people in each of the past six months who were claiming illness benefit while living outside the State, in tabular form; if they were claiming a child payment, if the children were living outside the State; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The table below outlines the number of recipients of Illness Benefit at the end of each month from December 2022 to May 2023 whose last know address was either unknown or outside of the State.  It is not possible to determine the number of child beneficiaries of a child related payment that are living outside the State.
