Deputy Darren O'Rourke asked the Minister for Education to consider a case (details supplied) involving a student who had a contagious illness with supporting medical documentation on the day of their leaving certificate German exam but was denied the opportunity to retake the exam by the State Examinations Commission; and if she will make a statement on the matter.
