1271. Deputy Claire Kerrane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine the number of applicants to the 2023 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [37751/23]
View answerThe Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector is intended to assist in the development of the horticulture sector, including beekeeping, by grant aiding capital investments in specialised plant and equipment including renewable energy, as well as technology adoption specific to commercial horticulture production. The 2023 Scheme has a budget of €10 million which is an 11% increase in funding compared with 2022.
The 2023 Scheme of Investment Aid for the Development of the Commercial Horticulture Sector opened for applications on 01 June 2023 and a total of 168 applications have been received.
