Deputy John Lahart asked the Minister for the Environment, Climate and Communications if public servants of semi-State or commercial semi-State companies, and other hybrid public service organisations under the aegis of his Department, such as An Post, are entitled to work until they are 70 years of age and if he will make a statement on the matter. Operational matters relating to staff in the bodies under the aegis of my Department are a matter for the Boards and management of the particular organisations and not one in which I, as Minister, have a role.
