Deputy Peadar Tóibín asked the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the total euro investment made by Local Enterprise Office-supported businesses in each county in the past five years; how many jobs were created in each county by Local Enterprise Office-supported businesses in each of the past five years; and how many Local Enterprise Office-supported businesses jobs are in each county in the State. As the figures bear out, the LEOs continue to support small businesses in growing and creating new jobs across the entire country.
It is also worth noting that these tables only account for the investment and job creation that can be directly attributed to successful grant applications. The LEOs also provide significant assistance to the growth and development of small businesses through other interventions including Training and Development, Productivity and Competitiveness programmes, Mentoring and the Trading Online Vouchers.
