308. Deputy Fergus O'Dowd asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development if any chief executive of a State/semi-State body or other public body under the aegis of her Department received any benefit from taxable benefits being paid on their behalf by the body/organisation for each of the years 2019 to date; if so, the amount and details, in tabular form; and if she will make a statement on the matter. The public bodies under the aegis of my Department are independent legal entities responsible for managing their own corporate affairs and staff matters in compliance with statutory obligations and the Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies. The four public bodies under the aegis of my Department are listed in the table below, including Oireachtas contact details for each.

With regard to this particular issue, officials in my Department have confirmed with each of the agencies under my Department's aegis that no taxable benefits, of the nature described by the Deputy, were paid to the CEOs during the period 2019 to date in 2023.
