Deputy Catherine Connolly asked the Minister for Rural and Community Development further to Parliamentary Question No. 107 of 13 June 2023, for a status update on the transfer to her Department of land on Inisbofin on which the airstrip is situated; and if she will make a statement on the matter. View answerGalway County Council advised my Department last week that the disposal of these lands to my Department was recently approved at the council’s plenary meeting.
The local authority also advised that the matter is currently with Council's in-house solicitors in order to move forward with the transfer of title, with the matter being progressed this month.
My Department will continue to pursue this matter with Galway County Council.
