Deputy Carol Nolan asked the Minister for Finance the estimated total additional revenue which will be generated in a full year by the first two increases in excise duty on petrol, diesel and market gas oil which were implemented in June and September 2023; and if he will make a statement on the matter. I am advised by Revenue that the estimate of revenue accrued in a full year from the June and September 2023 restorations in Mineral Oil Tax (MOT) on petrol, diesel and marked gas oil, is €456.2m, comprising MOT of €410.4m and VAT of €45.8m.
