Deputy Niamh Smyth asked the Minister for Transport to review two complaints regarding a public transport bus (details supplied); if he will refer these matters to Bus Éireann for reply; if he will note that these complaints regarding this bus are on the increase; and if he will make a statement on the matter. View answerAs Minister for Transport, I have responsibility for policy and overall funding in relation to public transport; however, I am not involved in the day-to-day operations of public transport.
The issues raised in the complaints that the Deputy has forwarded are an operational matter for Bus Éireann. I have, therefore, referred the Deputy's question to the company for direct reply. Please advise my private office if you do not receive a reply within ten working days.
